Blues offer us a calming effect.

Blues help us escape from reality, from the everyday hustle and bustle.

The aquas, the light blues, the softer blues.

Blues keep the winter blues away.

I know, Mumbai cannot claim to have “winter”, but there is a slight nip the air, there is some winter magic out there. I don’t really find a reason why one should shirk away from wearing and trying on at least a few fashionable winter trends that have set the fashion meters soaring.

If there’s one trend that ruled the runways quite a few times, it’s every shade of blue. It’s the crispiest color combination, so versatile, vibrant, adds energy and intensity to fall/winter wardrobes, and is anything but boring.  Cobalt, especially, has the ability to make you look and feel so rich, so powerful. It has hands down, edged out other colors as winters prominent hue. At least, thats how I feel. And what better way to chase those winter blues away than with a bright cobalt blue? I think its a major statement. It’s both wearable, striking and the ideal shade to brighten up winter wardrobes.

So I decided to drape myself head to toe in all shades blue. To create this look I chose to wear this most stunning turquoise and cobalt blue jumpsuit by Koasheé By Shubhitaa. No matter the season or occasion, jumpsuits are an effortless route to chic. You can easily translate them from work to play, and I think this trend is definitely here to stay, especially if it looks like this!  To add on to the look, I threw on a cobalt blue jacket from Precis, which gave the whole look a much edgier, bold vibe and a sharp winter twist.

Koasheé – a treasure trove, is a world of rare luxuriance. A label launched by Shubhitaa Bothra to bring a respite from the unnatural elements, be it fabrics or dyes. Combining age-old expertise with an extraordinary thought, each garment comes together as a masterpiece. Au courant, the collection is a fusion of style and traditions. Where Indian colors and western cuts draw a theatrical contrast, one is bound to be taken aboard a mesmerizing journey.

Born and brought up in a family of entrepreneurs in the textile industry, Shubhitaa has been captivated towards this field since her childhood. With the exposure of studying at Parsons The New School For Design, New York (2012), as well as working with designer Naeem Khan, she has developed her own style and has risen as an individual with strong beliefs and opinions of her own. She believes that under a full grown tree is its roots which make it stand strong and beautiful. As a designer, she respects her traditional roots of her culture and brings forward an amalgamation of the old as new in the collection for her brand Koasheé.

To further enhance my outfit I carried a cobalt blue bag from Ferragamo and wore a pair of cobalt blue heels from Charles and Keith which added onto my dynamic look and made me feel more confident. Lastly, to accessorize a little more, I wore a blue choker from Zara, turquoise blue watch from Aldo and added blue glitter around my eyes for that extra sparkly winter effect!

Have a look! Happy viewing 🙂
