So Creo had the Lakmé Fashion Week preview collection at their store and I definitely wanted to see it and get my hands on at least one of the gorgeous pieces! So I did visit the store and I purchased this beautiful pair of dhoti pants by Salita Nanda.
It was just perfect, it fit like a dream and I didn’t even have to think twice before purchasing it. I fell in love with it. It was an amalgamation of a beautiful piece of art and a touch of pop, and it simply stood out, making a statement. And the colors were the one thing I LOVED about these pants.
Salita Nanda the label is infused with a feminine, playful and effortless elegance. The design philosophy essentially illustrates experimentation and expression in the form of art. The garments are inspired and designed for a woman who confidently embraces vivid prints and colour palettes while also appreciating the value of artisanal craft, with each piece being a style statement in its own right. The brand is an evolution of style that stems from an appreciation of culture, inspiration from heritage and the love of art. It’s for those who like to mix timeless pieces to match with new styles, adding a twist to the classic look. Her label consists of a ready-to-wear hybrid collection, combining digital printing and a series of 3D printed fabrics with 3D prints being her collection’s USP.
So this pair of dhoti pants is definitely a visual feast to the eyes and her collection is something you must watch out for!
I paired it up with a tank top from Forever 21 and a denim jacket from Vero Moda to create a playful, fun look. I personally love the brand, because at Vero Moda they live and breathe trends. Their quality is great, it’s comfortable and with their collection one can have fun, especially with this this denim jacket. Trust me, it’s a great buy, a great investment, a classic and is so versatile, you can pair it up with anything, and go for a denim on denim look as well with it and it’ll look great.
Along with this, I accessorized it with a statement necklace I picked up from an exhibition in Kolkata called The Chor Bazaar at The Oberoi Grand, that I recently visited. In addition, I paired this outfit with a pair of silver mirror lens sunglasses from Cupcakes and Closet, and they were so chic!
Lastly, to complete my look I wore a pair of heels from Aldo that were stunning and had bold colors that went along with the pants, completed the look and were SO comfortable.
The Aldo story began 40 years ago, in 1972 by the son of a shoe merchant and grandson of a cobbler – Aldo Bensadoun – who had a dream, and has now turned it into a global force with unlimited potential. You can read more about his story “One man and a bold dream” here.
So on the whole I loved the outfit, it worked for me and I was really comfortable and comfort is the one thing I look out for.
Have a look! Happy viewing 🙂
Exciting new posts coming soon! And I would love feedback!
Until next time,
