It’s been an AMAZING 1 year, 12 months, 365 days, 8760 hours, 525,600 minutes and 31,536,00 seconds since The Glitter Crumb was born. WOW. It honestly didn’t feel like it was that long, time literally flew by!

I clearly remember that day last September when I was sitting on my bed glued to my laptop creating my website, thinking of blog names, and when I was just trying to figure it all. Since then it’s been a crazy ride, I’ve learnt so much and had so much fun!

Today, in this ever changing social media landscape, a plethora of new opportunities have presented themselves with Instagram, Facebook and so on, being more influential than ever before. Back then, it was just limited to the labels, retailers and journalists, who needed to develop their careers and place in the industry over time. But now, it’s way way different, today bloggers play by their own rules and haven shaken up the business.

No, I’m not saying that the print media will die out. Even in the midst of a digital take over print media has proven it’s here to stay and I’m sure it will remain as one of the big business influencers and so will the world of blogging along with it as today digital is the future, and it’s a future for strong individual voices.

Bloggers are becoming an influential force within the industry, which has been facilitated by the growth of new media. As more consumers have been following them, brands have accepted them into their fold and the industry has started paying more attention to them.

Fashion is a consistently changing industry with new trends and products being created and new designers itching to be publicized around the world at any given moment and I feel fashion bloggers are those powerful opinion leaders in a marketplace, able to influence consumers via word of mouth since they’re so relatable.

Moving on, below are the photographs of The Glitter Crumb series (hope you remember this one) where I chose to wear this stunning shiny dress from French Connection. I carried a glittery pink bag from Stella Mccartney to enhance the entire look, and lastly, to accessorize a little more, I wore a watch from Aldo.

Have a look! Happy viewing 🙂

Exciting new posts coming soon! And I would love feedback!

Until next time,
